DC Parks and Recreation
crew members provided the tools and bags needed to do the job right, and many of them stayed to help.  And then, when all the work that could be done that day was done--along came the DC Public Works trash trucks, like clockwork, to collect and haul off the over 70 big bags of trash and debris that had been picked up.

What a wonderful demonstration of civic-mindedness!  Brightwooders, and BCA members in particular, should be proud and pleased that so many cared to do so much and came together to show they cared.  At the BCA meeting following the clean-up, certificates of appreciation and thanks were distributed to all those who participated.

Look for more great moments and activities like this in the future.  Working together, we can make a difference!"
